Mumbai : Aakash Shetty has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Junior Artists Association, one of the most prominent institutions in Mumbai’s film industry. With over fifteen years of experience in film distribution, Shetty has played a key role in the distribution of several Bollywood blockbusters. The Junior Artists Association is a leading organization committed to safeguarding the rights and interests of junior artists in the film industry. Notable figures such as Raj Babbar and Purushottam Solanki have previously held the position of Chairman, and now Aakash Shetty will carry forward the association’s significant mission and work.
To mark Aakash Shetty’s appointment, a special event was organized at Janki Hall Recreation Club in Andheri, where he was honoured by other key officials and members of the association.
During his address, Shetty expressed his gratitude. He said that I would like to thank all the members of the Junior Artists Association. There are numerous challenges facing junior artists at this time, and I will work diligently to support the welfare of our association. I am committed to protecting the rights of our members and will work collectively to improve their conditions.
Aakash Shetty takes on the leadership of the association at a critical juncture. Junior artists have not seen a pay increase in over a decade, and many face difficulties in securing opportunities. Shetty, along with the committee, is determined to address these issues and bring about substantial reforms for the betterment of the members.
